My Balls, 2022
Description :
My Balls uses the turtle shell as a metaphor for protection and vulnerability. By breaking through its strongest defense and inserting two stainless steel spheres, the work turns the shell from a symbol of safety into one of exposure and risk. With humor and provocation, the sculpture reflects on the courage required to leave familiar forms of protection and choose uncertain paths, acknowledging that pain, fear, and vulnerability are often inseparable from the decision to move forward.
