Black Friday uses the visual language of balloons to transform human organs into objects of consumption. An eye, stomach, intestine, kidneys, heart, and liver float like products gathered into a single bundle, held tightly in one hand. The playful imagery contrasts with the darker implications of the title, referring to a day when desire, urgency, and discounted value intensify consumer behavior. By presenting organs as balloons, the drawing satirically asks what happens when the logic of the marketplace extends beyond commodities and begins to determine how we understand our bodies, needs, and even human value. The organs appear light, desirable, and interchangeable, yet they are essential to survival, creating a tension between what can be priced and what should remain invaluable.
