i Wish, 2022

Information :

i Wish reflects the tension between aspiration and the physical limits of reality. The self-portrait depicts my head tilted upward, while a mechanical screw-like form replaces part of the neck, suggesting an imagined ability to extend the body beyond its natural boundaries. Like Fantasy I, the work emerges from the desire to make physically impossible wishes temporarily possible through art. The screw becomes a metaphor for ambition: the more it turns, the higher the figure can rise, yet its movement remains dependent on pressure and effort. Through this absurd bodily transformation, i Wishconsiders the persistent human desire to exceed our limitations, reach beyond our circumstances, and imagine ourselves somewhere other than where we currently stand.
