Masturbation II uses an intimate bodily act as a metaphor for ambition, desire, and self-generated satisfaction. A solitary figure stands within a dark, compressed space while a thin trajectory connects the body to a distant point of light, transforming a private release into an image of projection and aspiration. The exaggerated, funnel-like head suggests a mind continually expanding through expectation, fantasy, and desire. Rather than addressing sexuality literally, the work considers how human beings repeatedly create goals, pursue them, experience momentary satisfaction, and then begin desiring again. Through humor and bodily absurdity, Masturbation II reflects on this recurring cycle of wanting, achievement, release, and renewed ambition.
