To the Past, 2018
Description :
To the Past explores the tension between nostalgia and the pressure to move forward. Incorporating toys from my childhood, the sculpture treats personal objects as carriers of memory, connecting past experiences to the person I have become. Rather than presenting the past as something left behind, the work considers how memory continues to shape identity, belonging, and our understanding of the present.
