3d Key, 2019
Description :
3D Key transforms an ordinary key into a metaphor for responsibility, independence, and adaptation. Growing up, a key simply represented access to a protected space. After moving to a new country and navigating life independently, its meaning expanded to include the responsibilities and pressures that come with creating a life of one’s own. By constructing the key with bricks and concrete, the work gives physical weight to this transition, reflecting on what it means to move beyond familiar forms of protection and gradually build a place for oneself within an unfamiliar environment.
