Discomfort, 2018

Description :

Discomfort examines the tension between the body and the expectations imposed upon its appearance. A figure compressed within tight clothing reveals flesh pushing through its openings, turning an everyday act of dressing into a physical negotiation between containment and resistance. Through exaggerated form and uneasy surfaces, the work reflects on bodily conformity, social presentation, and the discomfort that emerges when the body is forced to fit prescribed standards.
