Weathering, 2026
Description :
Weathering merges an umbrella with a walking cane, bringing together two objects associated with protection and support. The umbrella shields us from temporary external conditions, while the cane provides stability when the body itself becomes vulnerable. By combining them, the drawing expands the idea of “weather” beyond rain or storms to include the pressures, uncertainties, and changes we endure over time. Weathering reflects on adaptation and resilience, suggesting that moving through life is not about avoiding difficult conditions, but developing forms of support that allow us to continue through them.
