Access II, 2020

Description :

Access II interrupts the fingerprint with a shifting grid of tonal divisions. The individual remains visible, but is fragmented by an external structure, suggesting how class, economic position, and social systems divide experiences that might otherwise appear shared. The drawing reflects on the uneven conditions through which people move through society and the different degrees of access those conditions produce.
