Precarious Resonance
Precarious Resonance sits at the intersection of vulnerability and authority, examining how the body performs strength while quietly registering its own fragility. Across a bronze pipe repurposed into a blossoming stem, a stainless-steel hand bound in chains, a wood-and-aluminium chair fused with a whistle’s alarm, and a striking mat built for a microphone, the works stage small confrontations between control and exposure.
Each object borrows the language of readiness, a chair braced to act, a hand ready to grasp, a pipe ready to be lit, a palm read for its future, and lets that readiness curdle into unease. A graphite study of a spider’s web etched into an open palm distills the theme further: even the body’s most intimate surface, the one we read for fate, is marked by something poised to ensnare.
