Picture This: How I View Myself in Today's Society was a group art exhibition organized by Drawing Rooms in collaboration with the Mary McLeod Bethune Life Center as part of the Jersey City Art & Studio Tour (JCAST) 2023. Presented in the Bethune Center's Entrance Hall Gallery, the exhibition explored themes of self-identity, personal expression, individuality, and the ways people perceive themselves within contemporary society. Through diverse artistic perspectives, participating artists reflected on their experiences, cultural identities, and relationships with the world around them, inviting viewers to consider how identity is shaped by both personal experiences and broader social influences. Curated by Kim Wiseman and James (Jim) Pustorino, the exhibition brought together 13 artists, creating a platform for artistic dialogue, reflection, and connection within the Jersey City community.
