Nail Kutter, 2017

Description :

Nail Kutter transforms an ordinary object associated with grooming into something both familiar and unsettling. Replacing the cutter’s blade with sharp, tooth-like spikes, the sculpture merges the tool with the very behavior it is meant to prevent. Through this reversal, the work uses humor and absurdity to examine the tension between intention and habit, and how everyday objects can take on unexpected meanings through human behavior.
