Room to Grow, 2018
Information :
Room to Grow draws from a childhood memory of wearing school uniforms deliberately purchased several sizes too large so they could last for years. What initially appears as an ill-fitting garment becomes a quiet expression of parental care, practicality, and anticipation. The work reflects on how economic circumstances and family decisions become embedded in ordinary objects, shaping childhood experience while preparing us, quite literally, to grow into a future imagined for us.
